What would we do.....

without h-e-l-p?

Given that it takes a good few weeks for a body to recover from labor and then having two additional kids in the mix, I needed some help this past week. My mom came here and was a huge help with the girls, plus she let me just focus on healing and feeding Matthew. She left on Sunday and now we are on our own. Ahhh! I am nervous but I know we will make it through :)

Thanks for all of your help mom. Now, when are you coming back to help?
Seriously!
Here is Matthew, safe in his Nana's arms.

My dad played chauffeur and came Sunday to pick Mom up.
Ella loves seeing her Grandpa.

Girls, where is Grandpa?
Oh, you stole him and took him to the Fishers Freedom Festival.

Unfortunately for my girls, I think these Pacemates
brought a bigger smile to his face.
Just joking, Dad :)
Maybe this should be your Christmas card?

Look at those smiles--probably taken after the funnel cake was eaten.
Those make us all smile.

Laney enjoyed the parade

The happy Grandparents

Laney wanted to pose with the bouncy ball from the festival.

I found a way to get the girls to smile.
Have them say poopy.
Not many people can say that word without laughing.

Notice how my dad's hat matches Matthew's outfit.
It's like it was planned.

Ella playing little mommy.
She is great with him!

Who's your daddy?

I don't know who your daddy is but all I know is that my children have been blessed with the best daddy! For those that know me, know that I love to dote on my husband. Jason is such a fantastic father and has really helped me out the past month. I obviously did not feel good and had no energy, but Jason stepped up to the plate.

Some of the activities he has done with the girls the past few weeks includes: Monkey Joe's, the Children's Museum, out to lunch, to the park, to the gym, the sprinkler parks (both Billaricy and Dilland). Yeah, I know I have it good to have such an active and supportive husband!

The Children's Museum has a new entrance and I included some pics of the dinosaurs that appear to be climbing in the building. How Jason managed 2 kids and taking all the pics that he did amazes me. Thanks for all you do, J!

Daddy's girl

Ella loves the water parks.

Although I was a nervous wreck,
Laney climbed all the way to the top of the slide
laughing the whole way up and down.

Time to paint daddy with water from the sprinkler park.

You can tell what she was going to do in the last pic.
Yep, she poured the whole bucket of water on J.

Team Work

Always a crowd favorite--the merry go round

The dinosaurs at the museum

Who has bigger muscles?
Here they are at Dicks Bodagious BBQ for lunch today.

Thanks Dad! We love you!

Who is the cutest 2 day old around?

Laney has been fairly sick this week so although she hasn't gotten to touch Matthew,
she did get to see him through the nursery window.
Pics of her and Matthew to come once she is feeling better.

Now there is one proud big sis!
Ella can't get enough of Matthew.

To say we had a lot of visitors is an understatement.
It was awesome to have so many people stop by!
I am sorry for those that I did not get pics of: Jennifer, Stephanie, Emily, the Hanovans

We are truely blessed with such supportive friends!!!

Baby Matthew--Who needs newborn diapers

Although there aren't really any pics of just Matthew, here is the first round of family pics. Matthew treated me so well and came out perfectly (with drugs of course). He weighed in at 9# 3 oz and 22 inches long so I guess we won't be needing any newborn diapers--he is already in size 1s :)

I will post more pics tomorrow! Jason and I are so incredibly happy and blessed. I am overcome with pride for my family!

Checkin' out little brother

Ella is so into baby Matthew!
Unfortunately Laney has been sick so she had to look from afar :(

What a blessing!!!

Come here sis...let's paint you

While Laney was sleeping today, I used face paint to paint Ella's face and legs with flowers, butterflies and hearts.

Once Laney woke up, Ella decided to paint her sister's face and legs "just like her's".

I should have been suspicious when it was so quiet downstairs while I was upstairs folding clothes :) I had to quickly find a camera and the only one close was the backup camera, so sorry the pics are blurry.

Don't I look purty?
