Our new favorite toy

Inspired by the baby pool filled with rice at the Fishers Freedom Festival:

I like the rice in the tote vs. the baby pool because I just put the top on the tote and wheel it back into the garage. After a few times, I realized that putting a sheet underneath the tote was helpful in collecting the rice that spilled out during playing (or else the rice sits in our grass or on our driveway for a loooooong time).

Matthew in his new kicks

Yeah, he loves his sisters :)
And they love him too (except recently since he likes to steal their toys).
That is another post for another day

Friday Funnies

*There is no other way to put this except that Laney is going to hate me when she is a teenager and sees these pictures. But remember Laney, I do love you*

After we put Laney & Ella to bed Jason and I come back downtairs to relax. When we go upstairs to bed we never know where Laney might be. Yes, she should be in her bed but she is often on the floor, in Ella's Pottery Barn chair, in our bed, on Ella's floor. It's a fun game. Well, here is what a typical search looks like:

---She wasn't in her bed---

---She was in our bed---

Jason and I couldn't stop laughing when we saw her little tooshie hanging out of those undies while laying so comfortably in our bed. Now THAT is our Laney Leigh :)

But loving this exhausting stage in his life :)

Family Reunion

This past weekend we had our annual get together at my parent's house. My aunts and my sister fly in and the Willett clan drives on in. The rest are all in Cincinnati which makes it perfect for us all to get together.

Now that is a good lookin' sandwich!

Grandma Jean, Aunt Holly, me and the kiddos, my dad
Many of my friends refer to Grandma Jean as the "hip" Grandma as she dresses so cute!
I just wish I lived closer to borrow her clothes!

Mom, her sister, Jan & Cindy

You think Matthew looks happy or what?
He cried most of the night as he was completely off his schedule.
He took a 4 hour nap on Saturday and then cried from about 6-9 pm (unless one of us was holding him). Boy was he tired!

Matthew had to be cropped out of this one--sorry buddy.

Growing up we took for granted the hills in Cincinnati. The girls are always in awe that my parents have a yard they can run up and down (they can only run across our lawn here as there is no "up or down." Not many hills around Indiana, right?). Here I was looking down from the deck as the girls were planting a rock garden (something even I could probably not kill).

This is the book Cindy was reading but Laney kept walking around with it while pretending to read. She looked so intellectual especially since there were no pictures and the book was upside down.

Uncle Fred, Aunt Holly, Aunt Nancy, Dad & the girls

This is how we made Cindy walk around all weekend as we said, "Cindy, you're an Ironman." Not really, but we loved seeing the medal she worked so hard for!

My family!
I just wish Matthew would have been smiling for my parents' Christmas card :(
Photoshop anyone?
