Steph noticed that Laney's shirt and socks were soaked. She asked Laney how she got wet and Laney proceeded to show her the water that was in the pretend kitchen sink. Laney had been splashing her hands in the water (not surprising for a 2 year old).
Steph: Ella and Abby, did you put water in the pretend kitchen sink?
Ella and Abby: No
Steph: Well, then how did it get there?
Ella and Abby in unison: Laney did it
Really? Considering Laney can't reach the real sink and even if she did get the water in a bowl, she never would have been able to carry that much water to the pretend kitchen sink without spilling it all over the floor.
Hmmm.......plotting against her younger sister already!

That is so funny! I'm sure as they get even older they will think of stories that will explain how Laney got the water to the sink, just to be a bit more believable. I can hear it now, "Well, Laney ASKED us to get the water, but we had no idea what she was going to do with it!" Haha! So cute. :)
Hilarious!!! Something tells me they came up with a game plan when they were filling it up with water. Like, "If Mom (Miss Steph) catches us, let's just blame it on Laney." Or maybe it's just in the code of siblings that you always blame the youngest. :)
