Camp Funshine

Ella attended Camp Funshine through the Fishers Parks and Recreation this past week. The theme was Clownin' Around at the Circus. While under the big top, she had her face painted and made her own puppet and fancy hat. They played carnival games like bowling and a matching game with the duck pond. She always came home with tons of fun crafts!

She attended camp from 9:30-1 Monday-Friday and has just loved her time there. She talks about her new friends (especially a girl named Valerie) and her favorite counselor, John. She even learned how to do the monkey bars at the nearby park! What a big girl!

Ella wouldn't pose without Matthew beside her--notice his foot?

Ella in her flattering orange shirt
(which she had to wear every day...pretty stinky!).
She is adorning her sunglasses and necklace that she made earlier in the week.

First Playdate

Matthew had his first play date yesterday with his friend, Jackson.
Ok, so they aren't friends yet (heck, the two just chilled all day) but his mom, Erin, and I are so they are forced to be friends :) Jackson is one month older than Matthew so hopefully he can show Matthew the ropes of life.
Erin, thanks for taking these pictures!

Laney, Madeline and Gabby enjoying the mulch

Laney was enjoying Madeline's new swing set.
Madeline and Gabby are just a few months older than Laney
so all the kids had friends the same age to buddy up with.
(Ella is at Camp Funshine this week).

Thanks for a great play date, Erin and Emily, and
thanks for sharing your swing set Madeline!

Fun with the new lens

Jason programmed our new lens with different settings to
see if it helps me get better, less blurry shots.
Here was our first try!

She's always ready for a smile

Funny times at the Willett house of fun

Jason has been calling Matthew his big guy.
Ella always responds with, Dad-dy (long drawn out in dramatic Ella fashion), "He's not a big guy. He's a little guy."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laney asked me the other day, "why do you feed baby Matthew from your belly button?" Good question. I must have this breastfeeding thing all wrong :) No wonder he is always hungry.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Laney couldn't get my attention while we were eating dinner last night.
She kept saying, "Mom, mom, mom, mom."
Rinse and repeat about 50 more times.
Finally she found the way to get my attention, "Leslie, listen."
Are you serious? Jason and I just laughed at our little lady.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mommy, can I have some poo-nuts," the ladies ask often.
I then asked myself, what are poo-nuts? Oh, of course....PEANUTS!
It's eerily quiet in the Willett house
Since it was so quiet, you know our two girls must be gone.
But where did they go?
They weren't on their swingset
They weren't in their room
They weren't in Bob and Jackie's pool. So where are they?
Ahhh....they were in this pool at Nana and Pappy's house!
Jason's parents kept the girls Friday through Sunday.
It was such a wonderful treat for both us and the girls.
Although we did miss the girls, we quickly realized
how "easy" life is with just one sleeping newborn :)
Ella said her favorite thing was swimming in the pool
Laney said her favorite thing was making cookies
Ella was so proud of their scrumptious treats
and I happily ate the ones that were sent back with them :)
That is good teamwork!
They also went out to Jason's cousin's house where
Ella enjoyed fishing with her Uncle Clyde.
She can't stop talking about Clyde and Jason's cousin, Steven.
The things grandparents will do for their grandkids.
Here is Nana Dean and Uncle Clyde standing in the rain, fishing with the girls.
This is the fish Ella caught.
No joke!
Her Uncle Clyde helped her reel it in.
But Ella's favorite part of this picture was not the fish but
the fact that she is wearing her birthday cupcake shirt.
That's my fashion diva!
When the girls came home on Sunday, Jason decided
to do his annual fireworks display.
Laney did not appreciate the fireworks
and said they were too loud.
Her favorite part of the fireworks display was when it was over.
At least Ella and I enjoyed them, J :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks Nana Dean and Pappy Stan for taking
the girls this past weekend.
They had a great time, and we enjoyed some needed down time.
Thanks again, and they are yours' whenever you want them :)

I'm out of quarantine

Laney was so sick right before Matthew was born so she was unable to see him at the hospital. The day we came home from the hospital she was doing better so we thought we would let her visit with her brother. Here are a few pics of her with her new baby brother.
